  1. Chris Gayle:

Chris Gayle of RCB scored 175* from 66 balls against Pune Warriors India in IPL 2013 season. His full name is Christopher Henry Gayle. Probably the most destructive T20 batsman of his time, Chris Gayle is a Jamaican cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies. Gayle captained the West Indies’s Test side from 2007 to 2010. Gayle has played a number of match-winning knocks during his time in the IPL. The West Indian opener has 5 IPL hundreds to his name, including that mammoth inning of 175 in 2013 against Pune Warriors India. He started his IPL career playing for KKR but after a couple of disappointing seasons, he joined RCB, where he has enjoyed the majority of his T20 success.




Having scored over 3500 runs in the IPL, it was quite shocking to see the batsman going unsold twice in the 2018 IPL auction and it was only in the third time of asking that Kings XI Punjab decided to get the West Indian on their roster for his base price. The threat of Gayle has reduced considerably over the past year, however, one can’t afford to write him off, as he has the most sixes to his name in the Indian Premier League history.

Brendon McCullum of KKR scored 158* from 73 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2008 season. Brendon Barrie McCullum popularly Brendon “Baz” McCullum is a former New Zealand international cricketer, who played in all formats and also a former captain in all forms. An aggressive big hitting legend all over cricket, McCullum took quick scoring to Test matches as well, notably recording the fastest test century of all time. He is considered as one of the most successful batsmen as well as captains of New Zealand cricket.




McCullum was the first batsman to score 2 tons in t20I.He was the previous record holder for the highest individual score in a Twenty20 International (123 against Bangladesh in 2012) and second highest individual score in all Twenty20 cricket (158 not out for the Kolkata Knight Riders against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2008) which was later surpassed by Chris Gayle (175 against the Pune Warriors India) for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 edition of IPL. He played for the Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008–2010 and again from 2012–2013, while in between he played for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He played the 2014 and 2015 seasons for the Chennai Super Kings. McCullum was a wicket-keeper until 2013.

AB de Villiers of RCB scored 133* from 59 balls against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015 season. The second player to be retained ahead of the IPL 2018 Player Auction, AB de Villiers also known as the 360-degree batsman, possesses hard hitting skills, more than decent wicket-keeper and an agile fielder that can put an acrobat to shame on the cricket field. On a good day, AB can single-handedly win you matches. He can switch from classical batting to playing more innovative strokes and that sets him apart from most South African batsmen. For RCB, de Villiers has had many eye-catching innings, even picking up an award for the most power-packed knock in the 2012 IPL for his assault on Dale Steyn. He has been a finisher par excellence, hitting a sublime hundred in Mumbai in 2015 and another in Bengaluru against Gujarat Lions in 2016. With Virat Kohli, AB has posted five 100+ partnerships for RCB and two 200+ partnerships, the only pair in the world to post two such partnerships. He made 687 runs in 2016, finishing third on the runs chart.
